In a news article released today from The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists ACOG?, recommending initial cervical cancer screening begin at age 21, with less frequent rescreening intervals. The newly revised guidelines are published in the December issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology. They also state that for most women younger than 30, biannual screening is recommended, instead of annual screening. Those older than 30 can be rescreened once every three years.
